Can a Blu-Ray Disc reader read DVD's?

It should be able to...or atleast my tech savvy husband says so :) Your blu ray player should also upgrade a regular dvd. It is neat our PS3 will do it...although I can't work it :)

Yes. However, it really depends on when you bought your Blu-Ray reader. If you bought it last year, than it most likely won't be able to read HD-DVD's. However, if you bought it anytime within the last couple of months, you should be good to go.
