Can a CT scan miss a small tumor in the brain at it's early stages? Speaking of a tumor from metastisized melanoma on the neck?

  1. It all depends on the resolution detail of the CT scanner and how small the tumor is. Same goes for MRI. So, the answer is yes, you can miss it.
