Can a canadian citizen studying at an american university get an intership with NASA? If not, are there any exceptions? Also, who are some of the major private contractors for NASA?

  1. Yes - but there will be security restrictions.


  2. There should be no problem for you getting an internship.  Contact the Cooperative Education department at your university to get the ball rolling, and search www.nasa.gov for internship opportunities.

    Major contractors include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Teledyne Brown, ATK, United Space Alliance, Pratt & Whitney, Northrup-Grumman.

  3. Regarding internship, you may want to contact NASA directly (check our their website at nasa.gov).

    And their site has lots of information on their corporate partners.

  4. Yes, but you won't be eligible for every REU or internship out there - just a few of them, so start looking early.  As in, start looking now for next summer.

    A few of the private contractors with NASA are Orbital, Northrup-Grumman, and Lockheed-Martin.
