It seems I should have something that counts towards the required 6-12 ECE units. Will non-EDU classes automatically not count? These are some of the classes I think should:

Issues & Perspectives in Early Childhood Education: Major approaches, theoretical rationale, research bases & policy issues related to child care and educational models

Foundations & Principles of Early Childhood Edu: Includes practicum in preschool setting. Developmentally appropriate & integrated learning experiences

Language Devlpt in Children & Families: Psycholinguistic theories & child language research. Social class, cultural, familial, & dialectical influences. Lang enrichment programs & assessments. Systematic observations of child language required

One EDU class: Quality Infant Care Giving: Research theories & demonstrations of infant/toddler care, development & assessment; group care, legal & budgeting issues & work with parents

Does anyone have any experience with this?

  1. I'm almost positve you could get a job in a preschool.  Your best bet is to talk with a director or a preschool and ask them to check it over for you.  Good luck!

  2. I am pretty sure that you could get a job at a preschool.

  3. Yes, as long as it is "Early Childhood or a related field"

You would be more than qualified. good luck!
