My black Lab "Jazz" had kennel cough 2 years ago, a vet, very stupidly operated on her at the time and she developed a very serious case of pneumonia. As a result I now keep her kennel cough vacs up to date. Her close friend Bella now has kennel cough, who, in general does not mix with other dogs. That is why I ask if Jazz could carry the infection without getting it herself.

  1. Yes it is possible for her to be a carrier also your other dog may have caught it from somewhere else. If she is under vet treatment at the moment then you should be seeing some improvement soon.

  2. yes , you can carry the infection  or your dog but you don't necessarily have to show the symptoms of the illness, but the best advice is contact your veterinary surgeon for his/her advice
