Can a Fantasy Football Commish get the first pick?

I am Commish of a Yahoo! Fantasy Football league, does anyone know (personal expierence would help) if the commish can get the first pick. The highest I've ever gotten is 2nd...thanks

The first pick sucks..that aside...I am a Commish for the first time..We will all draw cards for a draft pick the day of the draft.  I think 5 is the best pick with 4 and 6 the second best.

I got the first pick as commish in one baseball league this year -  I assume the "random" draft yahoo presents would be the same in football...

Yes, you can.  In Yahoo, you have the means to manipulate the draft order with the Commissioner's Tools.

In an offline draft, it is random but I did get the first overall pick once.

Be warned, getting number one as commissioner upsets people, even if they know it's random.

im pretty sure its random or u can choose the draft order. so yea u can.

I've been commish for years - I don't remember ever getting the 1st pick, but I don't think it is forbidden.

Yes you go to league setting and then you can set the draft order...hope this helps

As long as the process is fair and adequate, from experience I have benn commish for several years now and the way we do it is before each draft we lay playing cards out on a table (turned over of course) and select from the ace (#1 pick) to the queen (#12 pick) or king (#13 pick) and the order is set for you. No problems ever existed by doing it this way so far and it seems fair and based on luck. Hope this helps
