Can a Fischers Lovebird and a Linneolated parakeet produce a live chick. They started mating. 2 eggs.

These birds are best buddies. They've been caged together for a year now and they love each other. Now there are eggs. I thought they were both males. I'm assuming the eggs are not fertile.

Their eggs will not be fertile.  Just wishful thinking going on there.  :)

Lineolated parakeets are from S. America - Genus Bolborhynchus.  Lovebirds are from Africa - Genus Agapornis.

Hybrids between different genera are sometimes known as intergeneric hybrids.

Is it possible for them to be fertile?  Yes.  Is it likely?  No.

only brings ONE example of a agapornis breeding outside it's genus... in 1958.

Please learn to spell hybridize before you teach about it.

You may be lucky and they may be fertile,this is called Hybridising,if they are fertile then you could be the first person to ever breed this cross!!!!!!!!!

If they are fertile they will change colour from pinky white to a dull white,try not to interfere ,just let your birds get on with their life.

It will take about 21-24 days for the eggs to hatch.

Make sure that they have a good supply of Cuttle-bone and a Mineral block.

Near to the time of hatching soak some of their seed in warm water over-night drain ,rinse ,place somewhere warm till it sprouts and feed this to your birds.right through the rearing of any young,
