I was just wondering if a Filipino will still be eligible to work in the Philippines if ever he or she becomes a U.S. Citizen?

  1. The US oath of citizenship requires that you renounce all former allegiances and citizenship before you can become a US citizen.  As far as the US is concerned, you would no longer have any rights to Philippines citizenship, and you would be subject to US income taxes on Philippines income if you returned to the Philippines.

As far as other countries are concerned, some do not recognize the renunciation in the US oath of citizenship as revocation of citizenship by citizens of their country, so such a country will continue to recognize these people as its citizens.  If the Philippines does not recognize renunciation as revocation by its citizens, then you return to the Philippines on your Philippines passport, can work, etc.  Just remember that if the Philippines lets you work, you still have to pay US income taxes!
