  1. I'm sure you're being facetious, Red, but think about it.  Giraffes live on the flat plains and have no experience of heights.  How would you develop a humane experiment to test for this?  

    Can giraffes be afraid of heights?  Arguably, any sentient creature can be afraid, so the possibility exists.
