  1. Well, a Guinea Pig cage would be fine! I would recommend you getting the CritterTrail THREE and getting tubes to attach to a CritterTrail TWO. It would be cool if you did that! I did it and my Panda Hamster has so much room that he doesn't know what to do with it! I am thinking about getting a female and letting them have a litter or two in that habitat! I hope this helps!

  2. Depending on the cage.

I used to keep hamsters in nothing smaller than guinea pig cages, they were much happier than in those horrid tiny cages most people have! But I only used the pastic kind that only had mesh at the top where the hamsters couldn't reach.

    Like this one: http://www.petcentreonline.co.uk/ecommer...

And even then, I added a second layer of mesh onto the top so htye can't fit through.

You want the bars to be around 1/4" or 1/2" apart. Otherwise, the hammies might squeeze through. If so, you can go to a hardware store and get some chicken wire that is small enough. Then you can cut it in the sizes of the walls and ceiling of the cage, and attatch each side with twisties or wire.

  4. Only if the bars are very close together like ---- that far apart at the most, hamsters can fit through the size of a quarter

  5. You will probly need a proper guinea pig hutch like this one
