Can a Jersey-Holstein steer be used for beef?

I know it can be used for veal but how about beef? Does it give as much meat pound wise as a beef cow would? I guess what Im wondering is what is the difference?

  1. yes it is a naturally fed steer as oppsed to hormone shot steer

    alot say best if killed before 18 months or it gets tougher
