This person is a student in the US for the past 6 years. His Parents came into the US illegally and he was enrolled in the 3rd grade. He is now in 8th grade and would like to travel. Is it possible or what does he need to travel to Alaska by land?

  1. He could travel to Canada with a Mexican passport, BUT, he would NOT be allowed  to re-enter the U.S. as he is in the U.S. illegally.   These parents have put this child in a terrible position.  Sooner or later, they and he will be deported.  he will not remember life in Mexico, but he will be deported to a land he does not know...this has happened to other young people.  It is a problem with no good solution.  For now...No, he cannot leave the U.S. because he would never get back in. Sorry, but this is a choice his parents made for him.  I understand they were looking for a better life, but this is one of the problems that goes along with illegal immigration.

  2. To get into the US (which means Alaska and returning to the States), Mexican citizens, including children, are currently required to present a passport with visa or a laser visa border crossing card

I doubt that he has a passport, so travel would really not be an option for him.
