I have heard through the grapevine that our life wasn't "stable" enough. My husband and I are unable to have a child and are looking to adopt but the fees are just outrageous! We heard that it's a lot cheaper to foster then adopt. I think that money should go to the child i'm going to love forever rather than an agency

  1. Yes actually you can be a Foster Parent with the military in fact they need military families.  Sometimes a Foster Child is a military dependent so this in turn means that you already have access to all base facilities and can act on their behalf.  I know of 2 families that did it, one in Hawaii and 1 in Washington.  both ended up adopting some of the children.  The one in Hawaii always had Foster children from newborns to 17 year olds.  You will get subsidized for the expenses, it can range from state to state.
