Can a PAL PS3 play NTSC games?

I have a PAL PS3 and I was wondering if it it possible for me to play NTSC games on it. My PS3 is connected to an SD TV not HD TV if that makes any difference.

  1. yes but use a PAL tv.


  2. Indeed. PS3 games are not region locked.

  3. Yes, just make sure your TV supports NTSC signal (not important with HDTVs). Only one game will have a problem running on SDTV is GTA IV. It's the only region locked PS3 game, however, it's not region locked on HDTV.
