I just purchased two 12" Alpine Type-R's and a 800w Pioneer Premiere Amp, and I just realized I never checked to see if my cd player even had amp outputs or whatever it needs.

  1. Take it out and look. You obviously know what outputs are, so stop being lazy.

  2. The simple answer is: Yes. LOL

Pioneer Premiere amps come with low-pass filters so just hook everything up right and activate the low pass filters and you're good. :D

  3. Good news and bad news

The good news is that your headunit had a 2-channel preamp output RCA. So you can use RCA cables to hook it up to your 2-channel amp or mono if that's the way it is.

The bad news is that your headunit does not have sub preamp outputs. this means that any configuration used needs to be adjusted through your amplifier to get the best sound. There is no low-pass filter, so make sure you set your amp to take out any frequencies above 120hrz ish
