Question:

Can a Rabbit be over due in her pregnancy? My rabbits mated allot she was due next week but theres nothing ?

she had her last litter exactly one month apart, so what could be happening this time?

  1. A rabbit's gestation period is 28-35 days. But a healthy, live litter is usually delivered right around the 31st day.


  2. Sometimes the bunny doesn't start making a nest in the nest box until the day before she is due to have babies.. Sometimes they don't make a nest at all because for some reason they have no idea of what to do. In that case make sure she doesn't give birth to the babies on the wire. That would be very bad because the babies would get too cold in a hurry.

    As for being over due we had a rhinlander once that had her babies a week late. So it all depends on the bunny
