I'm a U.S. citizen and would like to attend college in Canada, specifically somewhere in Toronto,or Vancuever. I was wondering what the process is to gain admission to Canadian universities, and can you file for citizenship as well?

  1. Of course - But admission would be based on the college.  I also suggest you spell Vancouver correctly if you want to look smart enough to be accepted. Citizenship is not required to attend school in another country.  I don't know why you would want to revoke your US citizenship but you would have to contact the Canadian Embassy or Consultant to find the requirements for citizenship.

  2. You can attend college or university, but you need to get a student visaa to do so. Applying for citizenship is a whole different matter. Talk to the Canadian consulate nearest to you for student visa application forms and info on applying for citizenship.

  3. Immigration and citizenship take YEARS...and are not necessary to attend college in Canada.  You need to research universities, get accepted by one, then apply for a student visa through the website of the Canadian embassy to the U.S.  You need to read visa requirements before starting the process and be sure you can support yourself while there.

  4. you can apply to come to school and get a student visa through immigration canada. u can't become a citizen unless you pass citizenship test and live in the country for a certain amount of time

  5. You can go to university or college in Canada. You need to get accepted first then apply for your study permit. As long as you can prove you have enough money for school and living expenses you should be excepted. This does not allow you to work or a step towards citizenship. You want to get permanent residence in Canada after 3 years in Canada you can apply for citizenship.

Getting the study permit is easy.Getting excepted by a university and having the money to pay for it is another thing.

Getting permanent residence is not easy.
