  1. I am not sure but I suppose there is a possibility about entering into an agreement with a financial institution in Haiti, say, a bank for real estate. The bank will officially hold the house, and you will sign an agreement with the bank that gives you power of attorney over related transactions.

    I have heard this is legal and possible, but whether you will be able to find a bank willing to go with your proposal (as you will, easily in places like Mexico) is another matter totally.


  2. Not unless if you become a Haitian citizen. The country isn't like Puerto Rico where it's a territory of the U.S. Haiti is its own country, so you need to become a legalized citizen.
