My fiance and I plan on going to Ireland for our honeymoon, but I heard that if you a have a felony charge on your record they might not let you in. How do I find out, if this is true. Before we fly all the way over there?

  1. Of course, you can!!!  All you need is your US passport.

  2. ya better check it out

  3. In short yes you can still go but it is at the discretion of the consulate issuing your visa.

Do you mean Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom with the capital being Belfast or The Republic of Ireland which is separate sovereign state, it's capital being Dublin?

It you are going to Northern Ireland and you have a criminal record or if you have been arrested (even if not convicted) then you will require visa. For information on how to apply for one visit the website below.

If it is the Republic of Ireland that you are visiting all of the relelvent information regarding obtaining visit/holiday visa can be found below.

  4. If you've got a colourful past like you fiance I am not sure if they would allow him to leave the country to go to Ireland or anywhere else for that matter, unless of course it was years & years ago.  That could be a different story.
