  1. Not if they are visible under or through the uniform.  They can wear whatever they want when on liberty or leave.

  2. While on duty or during PT? You question is too open.

  3. When a Marine is on base on his/her own time, then yes they can wear civilian clothes as long as it meets the standards put out by the base and their unit,  that usually means that it is not offensive, does not advertise alcohol or things,  and no suggestive comments or pictures,

I knew the answer but my daughter was on line, and she is in iraq  so i ask her to verify , and that is even the rule there, behind the wire,  that they can wear their civvies,   now and then,

hope this helps,  good luck  ;)

  4. the only plain colored t-shirts that Marines are not allowed to wear while on leave or liberty are plain white t-shirts.

the reason for this is that plain white t-shirts are part of the dress and service uniforms

I don't know the exact order number but it is under the uniform regulations

    Sgt.

    USMC

  5. while on leave you can wear whatever you want as long as it's "proper civilian attire" NO Plain white tees any time (on or off base) unless it is part of the uniform you are wearing (chucks). Other then that, you are free to wear whatever color shirt you want. Also, if you are in jeans/pants/slacks whatever that has belt loops, you must wear a belt. No flip flops on base either.

  6. off base you can wear whatever you want, but on base you will wear the uniform.

  7. According to the new regulations, clothing designed to be worn as undergarments will not be visible, except when undershirts are exposed in a manner similar to the service ‘‘C” uniform

  8. If they're on liberty on base then yes - they can wear whatever they want.

  9. while doing pt usually they have to wear green shirts unless it is a special occasion. Under their cammies it has to be green. I was in the USMC for 4 and a half years. I do not know the order but that is the way I was made to do it.

  10. My husband prefers to wear abercrombie and hollister and such.  Only while he is working he wears his uniform.  He is allowed to wear regular civilian clothes while on base.  But no flip flops while at the commisary.
