I have a friend who wants to visit me but she thinks she will not get a visa. Is there anything I can do to help her get a tourist visa? Is there a form I can fill out to state that I will sponsor her stay?

  1. You can send her a letter inviting her to visit you.

If you met her on the Internet and she's from a place like the Philippines you're wasting your time.  The chances of her getting a tourist visa are between slim and none.

  2. Yeah you can

I've heard of a lot of people who write invitation letters and help them get there visa but it might not be enough. Most of the people who apply for a visa don't get it Why? Because most of them don't show in enough ties with their home country. Your friend most show ties with her home country like a steady job, school, property, funds in back accounts, etc.

But if she doesn't show enough ties she has got no chance. You can try it might just get her the visa. HoPE this helps

  3. It will help but the main factor to be granted the tourist visa is the applicant herself. She has to prove that she has the capability to travel to the US and be a tourist and has the intention to come back to her home country.
