Can a US nurse work overseas in the UK?

I'm about to be a registered nurse and I was wondering if after a year or so of working in the states if I could travel overseas and work in the United Kingdom---and what all I need to do to achieve that.

  1. I'm sure you could, especially if English is your first language. I think they are crying out for nurses (so is Canada, by the way!). It would be a lot different from working in USA. Try googling Nursing Agencies or even "National Health Service".
