  1. Yes, you have to flush it for about 20 minutes when you get back and it will significantly reduce the life of the motor.  Growing up on the coast of South Carolina, we go from fresh to saltwater and vice versa all the time.


  2. yes, just remember  to run fresh water thru the motor when you get home. If you dont, the salt will dry and clog up the motor. I take my skiff out in salt water all the time ,I just clean it up as soon as I get home.

  3. with the way boat motors are may to they can stand up to a lot  of abuse you just have to clean and flush  the motor after each time .   but i would not worry about the motor i would worry about the trailer if it not galvanized
