Question:

Can a Zune be infected with malware?

I was looking up info on syncing my brand-new Zune to my computer through WiFi, and one of the sites I came across had a comment about how WiFi syncing "gives Microsoft access to your computer." I doubt that's exactly true, but it raises another question. Since Microsoft programs all have security holes that Redmond uses to keep users abreast of updates, could any such holes in the Zune PC software be used to plant a virus or other malware on my unit?

  1. It's not the wifi that does there is a place in your Zune software that deals with the Customer Experience Improvement Plan. It is locateded in settings>privacy. You can turn it off if you want.'

As for the malware I can't say with any degree of certainty. You might want to post that question in the software category to increase your chances of finding someone knowledgeable to provide you with an answer to that question.
