  1. He's fine, his reaction is the same one you would have if someone jumped out of a closet. Only babies cry because they don't know how to react to being startled. He will do the same thing if someone drops something. Unless he has a weak heart, there is nothing to be concerned about.

Taking an hour before he comes to you again is normal too. Try not to sneeze in front of him. If you do, giggle and smile. He will get used to the noises eventually but if it concerns you, go into another room or turn around so he can't see you.

He could also be startled by the change in facial expression. You might try making different faces at him and see how he reacts to each one. Always use a happy face after a scary one. Eventually the sneezing won't bother him at all. He's in the stage where he's learing everything! Be patient and don't take it so hard.

And if the reason for your sneezing is a cold, you shouldn't be around him anyway. Always cover your mouth and nose while sneezing and wash your hands before touching the baby.

  2. Hes young, you scared him, all normal.

  3. babies have sensitive ears and will jump at unexpected loud noises.  My baby fell asleep on my breast one day and made a 'pop' sound as she slid the nipple from her mouth - it woke her up and she was so scared she cried really hard!  I wouldn't worry but I would definitely reassure him and make it into a funny thing when something goes bang.  He may just be very timid right now too - my daughter still cries at one aunt which is embarrassing because she's been so loving to her, but it just takes more time for some people to bond I suppose?

  4. He might just be playing strange with you. If you dont see him everyday we may be weary of you. Most babies are scared of loud sounds, and the sneezing may of just freaked him out even more. Just keep spending time with him. The older he gets the less he will play strange.

  5. You might just have startled him. nothing to worry about.

Anyone can have a heart attack

  6. I dont see how Heart attack has anything to do with him crying when you sneeze!!!

Babies do jump and cry at loud noises!!! You may also notice him throwing his arms in the air too. Its the MORO reflex (startle reflex) which is normal in babies up to 4-5 months.

Im sure he isnt scared to go to you probably just you worrying.

Relax and your nephew will be relaxed with you, babies pick up on tension and if you feel tense he will too.
