My baby is 3.5 months old and is drooling and crying inconsoloably. I'm going to call the pedi in the morning but wondering, can a baby teethe this early? If so, what are some tried and true methods for easing her pain? Thanks!

  1. yeah.. my baby even had a tooth@2 months.

  2. Yes, every baby is different. I would try Hyland's Teething Tablets, they're amazing! There's also something called Hurricane Teething Gel that my friend used and she swears by it.

    Good luck!

  3. Yes, some babies are even born with teeth!

  4. yep, they can teeth that young. Take a wet washcloth and stick it in the freezer for an hour then give it to him to munch on.

  5. Yes, keep in mine that a few babies are now being born with a full set of teeth, so most definately.

  6. Both my boys teethed early! My youngest (4 months on the 22nd) started teething about a month ago with BOTH bottom teeth. He has been drooling like a leaky faucet lol. He had an off and on fever for about 12 days along with a hoarse voice. My oldest was the same way.

If a cold teether wouldn't calm him down, I gave infant tylenol for his fever (as they were always low grade) and only once a day (maybe twice - if he's super cranky). I also use the teething tablets for him. They dissolve so quickly under the tongue and he's normally calmed down within 1/2 hour.

It sounds like teething to me. I hope your darling feels better soon.

    Good Luck

  7. yes babies can teethe at 3 and a 1/2 months!!! babies can even be born with all there teeth!! take a rag and wet it with cold water and let her chonp on it and if running a fever give some infant tylonol(sp)

  8. yes!  there is no right or wrong age a baby should teethe. There is only averages they can go by.  A frozen wash cloth to munch on is good....teething rings...try at all costs to use pain meds...that will do more harm then good.  good luck..this phase will pass.

  9. yeh i have just posted a question before asking what to give bubs for his teething..he is 2months and 3 weeks old and i can see his two lower teeth moving up :) couldnt believe it... as people have suggested use cold washcloths etc but the best idea i got was using a dummy/pacifier (if using one) dipped in ice/ice cold water becasue he is so young its the only thing he can keep inhis mouth and that has worked..it was getting hard for me to sit long enough with my finger in his mouth hed jam it in there himself lol good luck with it all :) let us know how you go with the pedi
