Can a beginner adult use a 108cm snowboard?

I'm 43, 6'-02" and 195 lbs. I've never snowboarded before and I was curious if a) a smaller snowboard would be easier for a first-timer and b) if a person my size is even able to use such a snowboard.

Thanks in advance for any information. Any advice for a first-time snowboarder would be welcome as well.

  1. Def to small.  I'd go somewhere in the low to mid 150's.  I was 16   5'8" 125 pounds when I first learned.  My first board was a 156.  Your gonna want a lil bigger board because of your higher center of gravity.

Also when you learn you could waste your time on lessens, but I taught myself when I first started.  And whatever feels wrong is probably right.

  2. deffo to small for your height/build

i`d say if you wanted to keep small the smallest you could use is around 154cm ish.

goto a shop and get some advise from the ppl who deal with selling/setting up snowboards.

good luck and enjoy the sport
