Can a blessing on a house harm or hurt a ghost?

I know is a weird question, but I want to know if a blessing can hurt an apparently harmless little ghost.

I have stayed several times in a house from my relatives, in Mexico. One night, working alone upstairs, I had a feeling and saw in the door opening a naked little boy about 7-8 years, black hair, smiling. I thought he was a boy from the neighbors (although the house is in the outsides of the city). When I did stand, the boy giggled and run to the opposite side of the stairs, that its closed. When I followed him, he had disappeared. All windows and doors were shut. Other night, in the same room, I saw him again: he was looking at a box wrapped for a gift. When I asked his name, he giggled again and did exit the room again. And again disappeared. My relatives had seen him a couple times, always naked and smiling, but are not worried, they think he is a sweet little ghost. I would want to try to help him, with a blessing by a priest.

Some of the near neighbors say he can be an elf.

Yes, perhaps it would be best to leave him alone. It's nice of you to want to "bless" him, but any type of ritual that directly involves the house where he is (and to be more specific, involves the people residing in the house) might light up the astral like a beacon and may invite problems. If you really just want to do something symbolic in regards to this entity, do something on your own that is perhaps less formal and less ritualized, and in another location.

No harm can come to a blessing. An exorcism by a Catholic priest is different though. Sometimes they don't realize they have died. Just tell him that it's time for him to pass on, that staying here is suffering and wish him a happy journey.

It highly depends on the spirit's intention or nature if a blessing will hurt it or not.

Its probably best to do nothing to the house.  You may what to ask the ghost and see what he thinks.

I believe that there are reasons for everything....This spirit seems to be play full and harmless...it might be the only happy place his spirit has memory of. If your parents seem to have no fears or bad vibes ,check with your local shaman or paranormal guides.For some reason he hasn't gone into the light yet...also check the history of your local town and house references,land grants and historical papers.Please do not verbally provoke any spirit it could be dangerous....Having your house cleansed is to send or clear  the house of many things....as far as harming the little boy nobody really knows for sure where they go ? but we always pray that its to god and there family....good luck and learn all you can be for you make a decision... what if it was you?

Ghost imply there is life after death. There is none, it's your imagination. Don't get a priest. They're just as fake as the ghost. BUT, in case there is a ghost and it is a little boy, you still don't want a priest. Priest and little boys have a troubled history.

If a priest exorcizes the little ghost; he will be thown into the abyss. That will make the problem MUCH worse. Because the little ghost will be attacked for eons by the nastier citizens in there.

If you want to help him just go there and send him unconditional love and pray and ask the Creator to send in a shaft of white light. When this happens a member of the ghosts family will come to take him home. Then tell the little ghost he is dead, and to walk into the white light where he will be given the help he needs.

Nothing you say or do can harm a mythical being. People see things all the time, being tricks of light or artifacts of their vision, and when people share these experiences ghost stories seem to pop up out of them.

After reading all the "informed" responses here about ghosts, though, you'd think we're back in the Dark Ages! I had to laugh at how some respondents so matter-of-factly took to explaining "spirit" behavior as if they studied it like a zoologist studies animal behavior. ROFL! Yes, how convincing. I suppose if you can't ever demonstrate the existence of spirits, you can at least talk a big talk and maybe fool some people.

I could not probably catch that as both harm or hurt sounds the same but few weird things are happening around and i think they are not a problem until we trouble them and then try to make that nude boy your companion, have a good life buddy.

Well, he is probably not a ghost... some other sort of spirit. I mean, I don't think he is dead. From my experience most dead entities don't behave that way. Though I suppose it is possible.

He is clearly a benign spirit, not trying to hurt anyone, just playing or hanging around. I don't believe a blessing would hurt him, since it is not like spirits are evil or anything. And if I am right, this guy is not even dead, he is some kind of "living" spirit. So I think a blessing wouldn't harm him at all.

I suspect that despite appearing to be human, he is not actually human at all... not like an alien or anything, I mean that this particular spirit has just decided to appear to you that way.

Go ahead with the blessing, a blessing is not a harmful thing. Directed as harm, it is not being used properly, but if it is really a blessing to try and help him (with what the spirit wants, not what you think he wants), then nothing should go wrong.

Oh and I kind of envy you... all the spirits that turn up at my house usually want to kill me. I'm not popular with some of them.

Could be a ghost.  But it is all in what you believe in.

Do you believe in ghost?  If you let your mind filter in with belief, you will see what you feel is really there.

You could get a priest to bless the house, but if it doesn't work, just pray for whoever it is that you think you see.  Prayer says alot.
