Can a boat on a trailer be shipped by rail the same as a car?

Can a boat on it's trailer go ro/ro on a train? Where would I get a quote for something like that?

  1. It all depends on the size of the boat.  It would have to fit in / on a rail car.  If the dimensions of your boat would fit on a rail car, call your local, friendly railroad company and ask for a quote.


  2. No! the railroads don't ship c**p like that. The onlt way is to call a boat hauling company or do it yourself.

  3. get a train ticket to ride in the back and attach the trailer an the back before the train moves

  4. if you got the money im sure the railroad would ship it im sure it would be cheaper to take it yourself
