When we went to Egypt earlier this year, we arrived and were told that we would need a visa if we wished to travel outside of Sharm El Sheikh (we flew to Sharm Airport). Because we wished to visit Cairo and Luxor, we queued and payed for the Visa - they're about Ã‚Â£10.

I would have thought u would need a visa...but why not check their immigration/visa/government website
