I am a british passport holder who has been living in Asia for the past 15 years. I am traveling to france in a few weeks and plan on doing a spot of shopping, however, I do not know if I can claim VAT with my british passport.

  1. Hi,

To be entitled to refund within the European Union (EU) you have to reside outside of the Union more than six months a year. So you will need to have proof of the fact you're living outside EU for more than 6 months.
