Can a broadband card work on desktop to send a wireless signal?

I have a verizon usb internet card giving me internet. Can i use my wireless router to then send a signal so that my laptop and Wii also pick up on that signal?

Not really, what you have is a Network interface Card (NIC) [your ethernet card], getting the signal from someplace else.  The question is where is that someplace else.  From where ever your signal originates is your ISP.  Yours a modem of some type, you can connect a wireless router to that modem.  If you are telling me that you are using your cell phone to get internet, well that is expensive.  Go get an ISP like comcast, ATT, etc.
