  1. Dude, you obviously haven't seen that one episode of MythBusters. They are attracted to movement. One of the guys stood in the middle of the bull ring with other guys moving around with capes of all different colors. The bull chased them. It even looked straight at the guy just standing there but easily got distracted by the movements.

  2. I don't know the answer, but am curious to find out!

  3. Not only are cattle color blind but they have poor depth preception.  Makes no difference the color of the cape. All the bull sees is a black hole.  The bull actually charges the human, as it has been trained to do.

  4. Can cattle distinguish between the color of red capes and other colored capes?  YES!  Cattle are dichromatic.  They can't see the same range of colors humans (who are trichomatic) can, but cattle can absolutely see the color red.  They just don't actually care about red over other colors.  As demonstrated on Myth Busters, bulls will charge whatever is moving, regardless of color.  They'll even ignore the color red if targets of other colors are moving around.

  5. no. It's more the movement of the cape. *edit*ok what he said...

  6. I suppose they can, but they only have two types of cones, which gives them a blander color palette. Humans have three types of cones, so we can see the rainbow and every color in between. It doesn't matter, though, they're attracted to movement more than color.

  7. NO... they charge moving object....

  8. it's not the color they are attracted to, it's the movement of the cape.
