Question:

Can a bylaws proposal change be voted on immediately?

A bylaws committee is presenting proposed changes for a vote at our next meeting. The entire membership has had the opportunity to read the proposed changes ahead of time. Someone plans to "slip in" an addition or change to the committee's proposal to be voted on at that same meeting. Is this legal? Where in RONR can the ruling be found? I would like to have documentation to support my objection to this, in the event it takes place. Thank you very much!
