  2. Become an American citizen... I think that's the only way.

    You can't choose what army you want to be in... you fight for your own country.

  3. Technically, no, you cannot join the US military unless you are a legal resident of the US. You do not have to be a citizen, though. You must have a green card or be in the process of applying for one. You should talk to a recruiter for more details.

  5. You can be a consultant for the US military, but I do not believe they classify you as part of the US Armed Forces. For example, Bombardier Canada surveillance missile division used to send down specialists to work with American crews on the bases and on ships to test and train crews on how to use the equipment. But they were not part of the crew nor were they typically in a combat situation.

    A Canadian would usually join the Canadian Armed Forces, not a foreign country.
