What I meant by freezing. Normal freezing without any use of chemical.

Is it possible to revive them? Blood transfusion (new blood)? I went through the web. There are articles saying it is possible, but they had described that it is a complicating processes - no method is being disclosed.

Thawing need to be uniform etc. How? How does it work?

  1. Generally speaking, the freezing process causes ice crystals to form in the cells.  These are like tiny little knives which puncture the cells wall, thus killing them.  Water also expands when it freezes, and some cells are "exploded" by expanding "ice balls".  If this happens to enough cells in critical areas (brain, heart, nerves, etc) the animal cannot be revived.

In most case, experiments with "freezing bodies" is done by replacing the bodily fluids with a specially prepared "anti-freeze" (NOT automotive anti-freeze, that's poisonous!!!) These allow the body to get cold, but crystal do not form.

In this case, it is absolutely critical that every last drop of water be removed from the body so as to avoid ANY possibly ice crystal damage.
