Can a capacitor discharge a steady current or is it limited to one discharge until it is charged again?

  1. You can use a current regulator on a capacitor and then it will discharge a steady current until all the power is gone.  How long will depend on the size of the capacitor and the amount of current needed.


  2. a capacitor is like a storage battery. it holds a charge till needed, then fills up again. I would assume it has to charge then discharge to complete its circuit.

  3. It can discharge steady current in just seconds and then charged again.

    Just like a battery but with sudden discharge of electrons.
