I'm thinking about buying a carbon fiber bike on ebay but the seller has stated and shown a very small crack in the frame that is located where the seat post enters the frame. Is this a big problem or not. I'm not a racer. I'm simply wanting the bike to get myself in better shape so riding will be just around town.

  1. Yes, this is a big problem. Pass on the deal. The frame should be destroyed.

  2. I know that they can be repaired using fibreglass and epoxy resin but I don't have enough experience of them to give you any more details.

  3. If you wanna get yourself in shape and will only be riding round town, get a cheap Steel framed bike instead.
