  1. clik a few links here....

especially 'how often do I feed my flytrap'..... note.... in the wild, there's no certainty that a fly will land on one every day, ya know?....

    good info there ....

  2. You don't have to feed it. They will catch their own stuff. If you do feed it, only give small flies that will comfortably fit in the traps. Do NOT feed ground beef or anything other than small flies, as it will kill it.

Put it on a window ledge where it can get plenty of light, and keep the pot damp, and it'll do fine. They are great fun.

  3. Carnivorous plants have evolved over millions of years to thrive on animal proteins.  There is no doubt that they also need water, but they also need protein.  Using tweezers, you can feed them small pieces of raw bacon.  To do this, simply nudge the tiny hairs located inside the plants trap two or three times.  This will trigger the plant to close around the bacon.

    Good luck!

  4. Well, it can't survive on water alone, but it CAN survive on just water and sunlight.  All you really need to feed your flytrap is lots of sunlight and clean water. If you grow your flytrap outside, and you really should so it can get sufficient light, it will catch all the food it needs on its own.

Try to give your flytrap at least 4 hours of direct sunlight a day and it will be a happy and healthy plant. You can read more about venus fly traps here:
