I took in a stray cat who had kittens five weeks ago. She has been in the house since the birth of the kittens and now five weeks later is looking like she is pregnant again. When she was pregnant before she didn't hang down she protruded from the sides and now she is looking that way again and wont let me feel on her sides. Is there anyway another cat could have impregnated her while she was still pregnant with the other kittens, cause if there is I'm going to have a stroke. I have her, my cat who is neutered and her six kittens, who I have only found homes for four of them so far.

  1. No she can't get pregnant while pregnant.

  2. she may have an infection so take her along to the vet for a check up. I know rabbits can but i don't know about cats, i am sure it is impossible for this too happen with cats. could she have got out in anyway, if the vet says she is not pregnant then if the kittens are near weaning between five and eight weeks get her fixed. please don't let the babies go before 8 weeks and they are best kept with mum until12 weeks. well done for taking in a stray and her babies

  3. No can't get pregnant with more babies while already pregnant.

  4. No she can't be pregnant twice at the same time, but perhaps while you were out she found a way to get outside.

  5. no she may be bloated or swollen but i don't think that's possible
