no, cats only mate when they are in heat. to animals mating is for reproducing. i dont think they mate for pleasure only.

However it is easy for an owner to miss, or mis-read, the signs of calling in a young girl as they often do not make the usual loud calling noises, and may just have seemed to be extra affectionate for a few days, or looked very playful roling on the carpet.

If in doubt, have the vet check her over.
