  1. the stray knows there is a queen around. most queens start with seasons from five months and vets in the uk recommend spaying about this age or younger if they meet a certain weight which i think is about 1.5 kg and are healthy. it is possible for her to become pregnant at this age.

  2. Do not let Tinky out, She could come into season at 4mths old and sometimes this can happen without you  noticing.

  3. If the boys are sniffin' around and she's wanting to talk then yes, I would say she could get pregnant. It does seem young though.

FYI we've just homed Celeste's 4 kittens and it was a pleasure having them around for 9 weeks. I thoroughly recommend it. But we're getting her spayed on Friday.

  4. Since there is no possible way for you to detect the invisible hormones that a cat release when they go into heat, and not all cats display classic signs... there is no way you can bee 100% Sure your kitten isn't in heat.

Female cats can go into heat and get pregnant as early as 4 months of age. They are usually in heat for 7 to 10 days at a time, and will go in and out of heat every week or two until they are mated or spayed.

It is best to spay and neuter all cats before they reach sexual maturity (as early as 3 months to before 6 months) to avoid pregnancy, deadly pyometra, spraying and other behavioral issues, discomfort to the cat and the annoying behaviors that unfixed cats display.

    Please Spay and Neuter!
