  1. Im not sure if it can, but it happened to me and it ended up being TMJ disorder (temporomandibular joint).  I started getting a throbbing pain that I was sure was a toothache or ear ache....I couldnt pinpoint exactly where it was.  It felt like ear pain, or maybe a wisdom tooth coming in and ended up being muscular spasms in my jaw from clenching and grinding when I sleep.

Feel around in front of your ear and around your jawline for sore spots, thats a good indication of TMJ issues.  Also, sore spots on your head........this is because those same muscles extend from your jaw up into your scalp.

You might want to see a dentist that specializes in TMJ or a Neuromuscular dentist.

  2. Definitely and it has happened to me.

  3. If the cavity is accompanied by an infection, it can spread to your ears. Have both the tooth and the ear checked out.

  4. Yes. Because ur ear canal and jaw is so close together a toothache can cause ear problems or vice versa!!!

  5. not every cavity can cause ear problems, if its close to the pulp (tooth nerve), it may, if and infection develops aroungd a tooth (specially upper tooth) may affect the ear, if the jaw joint has a problem, its more close to the ear and most jaw join prolems affects ears massively
