Can a cell phone without a camera receive picture messages? Mine won't but my friend's does ?

LOL I didn't mean to answer my own question. What I meant was I wasn't sure if some phones require a certain service in order to receive these messages, or if they come built into the phone.

Chances are, no, sorry. Kajeets have a hard time with those too, and it HAS a camera!!

Some phones aren't capable of it -  T-Mobile customers using those kinds of phones have to go to a website to view the picture messages they receive, even if they have the messaging bundle that includes picture messaging. The only thing that helps is getting a better phone.

you have to have the service activated. simply call your phone company and they will take it from there, it may cost a little extra a month

Varies with each phone and the carrier.  One of my friend's has a Boost Mobile phone and can receive pictures but doesn't have a camera on their phone.
