Can a child with mild dyspraxia become a doctor?

my four year old son wants to become a doctor when he grows up, his teacher says he might have mild dyspraxia, will this hold him back, my son is very bright he has been reading fluently since he was 2 1/2 years old,

  1. The only thing that will keep him back are the people who keep saying no.  Teach your son to prove people wrong.  Not the same thing, but my son had problems at school people thinking he wasn't as smart as he was, and I switched his school and he proved all the former teachers wrong.  He skipped 3 grades.


  2. I wouldn't worry about that yet.  He's 4!!!  I was expecting to read about a college bound child.

  3. Four year old children will change their mind a million times before reaching adulthood.  As for a disability, your teacher is not a doctor.  Before taking the teacher's opinion, go to your child's peditrician.  Speak with the doc, they will decide if any tests need to be done.  

    As for becoming a doctor, or anything else, the sky is the limit.  Teach your child to do his best, and reach for the stars.  Tell him he can be whatever he puts his mind to.
