I'm a Filipino visiting the US on the 28th for 25 days. During that time can I apply for a Korean tourist visa in ATL? Does anyone have an idea how many days it would take?

I have the option to apply here in Manila for a Korean visa tomorrow (family of friend supporting trip has yet to give requirements needed from them; I have to wait for it), and I MIGHT be getting my passport back on the 27th (its Holy Week, and there's no work on Thursday and Friday); but the problem is if I don't get it back, I obviously can't travel the next day.

I called the embassy here and the Korean lady who assisted me said that I couldn't, but I'm asking for a second opinion since I don't think we perfectly understood each other (I had problems in asking my first few questions, so now I'm a bit skeptical). I already saw one similar question here that said that Filipinos could apply for a Korean visa in the States but I just want to recheck, since I'm only on a tourist visa while going there to GA...Thanks!

  1. your would have to apply from you home country  to the Korean consulate or embassy  you will not be able  from the USA

  2. the rules of embassies says that you have to apply from your home country and not as a tourist,in another country,

you would have to funrnish home adress, and other pertinents informations,

so the likelyhood of you getting a visa from the US is not possible,

  3. Search the Korean Embassy website in the US. Or call them.

You can find their address on www.embassyworld.com.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, but if the woman at the Korean embassy said no, she would probably know more than me.
