Some people say they can be happy living anywhere. They say that a city can't make you unhappy, and that only you can make yourself unhappy.

  1. the city i live in makes me unhappy

  2. The city is noisy, polluted and crowded. The country is too quiet, wonderfully fresh, and lonely...

I live in the city, but i think it depends what mood you're in! It would be wondrous if i could have a place in the countryside too!!!

Oh, and maybe have some more greenery and plants and stuff in my city gardens.

We should all have a house in the countryside and one in the city.

  3. Ask those in Detroit.

I believe it was John Colbert who made the joke regarding the Mayor's violating the bond by leaving the country to make a "business deal" in Canada. He joked that the judge said to him, "If I have to stay in Detroit, so do you!"

  4. i wouldnt mind it, but..

but it has a lot of pollution, crime, and crowds!

you gotta be careful out there.

  5. mmm..I really think that it depends on the person.

My husband is in the military and we have moved a lot of times. Some of the places that we moved to were pretty crappy too. I was only unhappy in one of those moves, but that was because it was my first move ever. I eventually got over it.

I do agree that places with less sunlight can make someone depressed though. For instance, I read somewhere that Washington State has one of the highest rates for depression because it has less sunlight.
