  1. if put on by the police don't remove it ,if any old tom/d**k /harry did it saw it off......tom

  2. I don't know what the law states but as it's your car just cut it off with a brick saw like others have done. I've never heard of anyone being prosecuted for removing a clamp.

  3. David, If by "clamp" you mean a wheel lock for illegally parked cars, that was put on by (or at the direction of) someone in the parking authority for your area.  Therefore, they have your registration plate number, vin number and they know who you are and where you live.  They will get their fine, and damages (and extra fine) for breaking their lock.  The only hope is to pay the fine before they come back and tow your cab to some god-forsaken place, and good luck tracking it down, and paying the storage fee.

  4. Get statements from the passenger and concierge.

    Fight the ticket.

    You can demand a hearing.

If it is 'out of hours' and you have proof you can even threaten to sue for time lost.

(You won't get it, but you can make trouble for the 'clamper`.)

  5. legal .. where did u get that from

u can be arrested for breaking a clamp

  6. its not legal but an angle grinder will do the trick as long as no-one photographs you there will be insufficient evidence that it was you that removed it.

I recommend wearing a hoody at doing it at night.

  7. It's probably criminal damage, but only if someone sees you do it :-)

  8. Bolt cutter
