Can a company you bought from with paypal charge you for money your account doesn't have?

Haha, I re-worded my other question.

But seriously, If I moved all my paypal account money back into my bank account, when Butterfly Photo goes to process my order and recieve the money, are they able to take anything out if my balance is only 10 cents?

I'm calling them to cancel the order as well, today.

(It says in Butterfly Photo's FAQs that they either accept or reject your order when they have finished processing and making a 'credit verification', before shipping)

  1. If your bank account is linked PayPal may debit it to cover any shortfall on your balance.


  2. 1.  The company does not know, or CARE how much is in your PayPal account.

    2.  The WILL charge your account what you OWE them.

    3.  If your PayPal account is linked to your bank account, YOU authorized PayPal to take the money out of your bank account.

    4. Unless you cancel the order according to Butterfly Photo's cancelation policy, you STILL owe them the money.
