  1. The contract has run out on his sim card so you will have to put a sim card in which is on the same network. Your dad will probably have to phone the company that his contract was with just to make sure they have cancelled it. Most company's will provide a pay as you go sim card when you cancel your contract if you ask them as they like to keep customers. If they don't you can get the phone unlocked so you can put almost any sim card in it. Hope this helps.

  2. umm i think so but i aint sure

  3. Put your sim card it it, after unlocking if it is a different network, then away you go!

  4. Just buy a pay as you go sim card.  If you want to go on a different network you may have to 'unlock' it.  Otherwise just buy a sim card for the same network

  5. yes you can just put a pay as you go sim in it, but make sure its on the same network. Alternatively you can get the phone chipped so you can use any sim card in it.

  6. As long as his contract has run out and it is on the same service as your sim card then you just have to put the sim in the phone.  If not you will need to get the phone unlocked which usually costs about £10 (uk)

(note all O2 contract phones are already "unlocked")

  7. Just swap your sim card into his old mobile.  Its the sim card that holds all the contract details, not the mobile

  8. yeah course

the phone is just the shell

put you sim card in and it'll be fine
